A voluntary labeling program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy that identifies energy efficient products. Qualified products exceed minimum federal standards for energy consumption by a certain amount, or where no federal standards exist, have certain energy saving features. Such products may display the Energy Star label.

Energy Star Programs and Products  Provides information on energy-efficient programs designed to reduce energy consumption. Along with program information, there are links to news, and related free publications. Energy Star Heating and Cooling Program Provides an overview of the EPA's Energy Star Residential Heating and Cooling program. There are links to information on heating systems, air conditioners, thermostats, and boilers. In addition, there are links to companies that provide financing, and manufacturers that support this effort.
